Hey Jeff, where are you from?
Good question! So many answers exist that I would try to convince you of. I think the Sneden family is originally
from Holland, or something, but to tell you the truth, that couldn't possibly matter less to me. The family is also
from the New York area; see
. This area is also of very little consequence to me. Does anyone else
think that the concept of where your family was 400 years ago is kind of silly? That's about 16 generations ago,
meaning that about 130,000 different people have contributed to my gene pool since. I sincerely hope that all of
those people came from more than one area in the world.
The first area that I really care about is Pittsburgh, because that is where most of my sports allegiances lie.
That's where my Grandmother has rooted for the Steelers since the day they became a franchise - that still blows my
mind. Austin is where I was born, where I grew up and where I went to College. For anyone who hasn't been there, don't go.
Austin is a tiny township of closed minded people with little to offer for entertainment or culture. Somebody has
to argue against Austin, right? I moved up to Dallas shortly after I graduated from College, and this is where I now
spend my weekends. Believe it or not, parts of Dallas are almost as cool as Austin. Stop by my place in Uptown and
I'll show you the area.
Well that was boring, but where are you going?
Generally, I like to think that I'm going up. If you'd like to debate that with me, then I'd be more than happy to.
Debating (arguing with a smile) is one of my favorite past times, especially at high volumes (I'm the youngest
of four children). Perhaps you were asking where I am going in a literal sense. Well, I'm away from home 4 days a week
for work. Currently, I am on a project at QVC in West Chester, PA. Before that I was at 1-800-flowers.com on Long
Island. Typically, my engagements last between 3 months and a year. In my young career, my work has taken me to
DC, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York and Boston.
You mentioned that you had 3 siblings, tell me about your family.
The best thing about my family, is how little we have in common. There's a Doctor, a Pilot, a Criminal Psychologist,
an Astronomer, a Health Program Coordinator and an IT Consultant. Maybe I'll put up a "guess who game" on the site
someday so you can match the profession to the person. Hey, it could be fun for like 20 seconds if the interface is
good. Side note, I was once raving about the interface of the iPhone in a bookstore and the young, college-educated clerk
stopped me mid-sentence and said, "I don't know what interface means."
So, you pretty much sound like a giant nerd, what do you say to that?
Man, I hadn't even told you that I play chess competitively and spend way too much time looking at my fantasy
baseball team during every Summer day. I have no defense, you'll just have to trust me.
I feel like we're really getting to know each other. Tell me some stuff that most people wouldn't know about you.
- I can hold my breath for two and a half minutes, but I can't swim across an olympic sized swimming pool in one breath.
- I've probably eaten fewer raw fruits and vegetables in the last five years than you've eaten this week, but I really don't have a problem with cucumbers.
- I played the upright bass for seven years, and now I am learning to play the bass guitar.
- I've played in chess tournaments since I was 10 years old, but I'm usually the only player with a chance of finishing first or last in most tournaments I play in.
